Making Learning Meaningful: Thinking Across Subject Boundaries through Real-World Questions

Making Learning Meaningful: Thinking across Subject Boundaries
through Real-World Questions

Real-world questions do not stop at subject boundaries.
Your students' thinking should not either.

Register your interest in the fully funded blended teacher training in Munich, Germany, below.

On-site week:    30 August – 3 September 2027

In our STE(A)M vision, the "A" stands for "all" subjects.
Your subject is exactly what STE(A)M needs.

Our world is full of questions – big and small. Understanding why we see colours requires physics and biology. Understanding how votes become seats requires mathematics and politics. Understanding artificial intelligence means looking not only at how the technology works, but also at its energy and resource use, its ethical implications, and its effects on society.

From everyday phenomena to major societal challenges, students need to connect knowledge and perspectives across subjects to make sense of the world, participate in democratic society, and help shape solutions for the future.

Imagine a week in Munich with teachers of different subjects from across Europe – fully funded as part of our Erasmus+ ICSE STE(A)M Vision Teacher Academy. If selected for participation, your accommodation is provided, your travel costs are reimbursed, and there are no course fees. You bring the perspective of your subject; your colleagues bring theirs. Together, you will develop approaches and materials to inspire your students to think across subject boundaries. The world needs interdisciplinary thinkers. It starts in your classroom.

Pre-register below, and we will let you know how the application and selection process works as soon as the application form is available.

Tip: Taking part in our virtual workshop on 23 November 2026 earns you extra points in the selection process.
